Chris Maas, Chief Scientist SABIC

He is an expert in Thermoplastic & Additive Technologies . (Polycarbonate,PC/ABS etc.). He is an expert in Flame Retardant technologies and led new product developments for aircraft and rail interior applications complying with fire safety standards such as FAR 25.853, OSU & EN45545, DIN5510,BS6853, NFF16-101 & Polish, Russian Ghost and US railway standards. He is an expert in sheet extrusion , co-extrusion & lamination processes and materials. He has a strong know how in transportation, B&C and electrical applications and norms and technologies related to these segments. Next to that, he has a strong know how in light and heat managemant, IR reflection & absorption and light diffusion technologies. He is the owner of 24 patents of which 14 are granted. He is certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt.


Reinhard Tag, Global New Business Development Ldr. Architecture & Sustainability

His responsibility is to define a strategic growth plan for Global Sheet and Foam within SABIC and to establish the right balance between regional, short and long term priorities, with key focus on longer term strategic progress. He is responsible to drive execution for critical new product programs, to ensure timely product launches, to build relationships with key customers for focus segments. He is leading and defining long term developmental contracts & programs, developing a longer term technology/asset capability road map i-c.w. Technology VP and Global Market Directors. He is shaping relations with external institutes / universities and commercial technology partners. Other responsibilities are the creation of longer term M&A/Investment plan to build the right capabilities and capacities globally, to build communication collateral to ensure professional attendance at key conferences and industry events. He contributes to achieve the objective to build a substantial SABIC forms business as defined in the 2025 vision.
